Jones Hand Sewing Machine Cast Iron Ornate 1880 This wonderful little cast iron sewing machine was manufactured around the 1880's. The Brass Plate on the front is embossed "Hand Sewing Machine" and has an Indian Arrow going through it. The Vine Leaf decal is may be gold leaf is in great condition. Needs a good cleaning to make it gleam, as does the whole machine. I don't like to shine pieces up, as you may prefer them with the years of patina. The Jones decal is mostly intact. It seems to work very good, yet a little stiff. Only numbers that I can find are under the sliding plate over the shuttle stamped into the body, 32228. (These plates are usually missing.)
