- Item Description
We are pleased to present this early Roseville Umbrella Stand for your consideration. It is primarily shades of brown with blended areas of tan towards the top and bottom. It has a very lovely Floral Design in the glaze which starts at the bottom with leaves and continues up to the top of the piece with flowers which are all very vibrant and extremely beautiful. An unmarked Roseville piece, we believe it dates to the early 1900's.
The piece is 21-1/2 inches high with a base diameter of about 11-1/2 inches. It weighs 24 pounds and does not have any manufacturer markings.
Crazing is seen on all surfaces, and there are assorted glaze imperfections, including a flake of glaze missing at the base, some burst bubbles (the largest on the side which we have pointed out in the pictures), plus a small spot with rough edges at the rim. The Umbrella Stand has a wonderful shine and displays extremely well. There are no chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs, and we rate the overall condition as very good to excellent (see pictures).
This is a gorgeous piece and would make an excellent addition to any Roseville Pottery collection!
