- Item Description
This is a large lot of the British Magazine with the title Private Eye. We count over 100 issues in the collection, with a weight of about 11-1/2 pounds.
Filled with cheeky British humor (or humour, if you are one of our friends in the U.K.), the issues range in date from the early 70's to the early 80's, with most dating to the late 70's.
Great period stories include Agnew and Nixon, The Last Farewell; Special Bad Taste Xmas Issue; Summer Riots, Everything Must Go! Lots of entertaining reading inside!
The issues are printed on newspaper stock, but bound with staples. The paper has browned a bit with age but is still in good condition. Staples are for the most part bright, with no signs of rust. We haven't examined each issue individually, but they range in condition from fair to very good with some missing covers, having creases, or suffering other issues. Most appear to be in good overall condition (see pictures above).
This is a substantial collection of a hard to find English magazine filled with period stories and advertisements. They would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
