We have here another wonderful find in these two beautiful Vintage New Martinsville Prelude Pattern Glass Bowls.
The approximate diameter across top edge of the 'Crimped' edge bowl is about 12 inches while the diameter of the 3-footed bowl is about 10 inches. Together, they weigh in excess of 6 pounds.
These Prelude Pattern Bowls have a lovely and very classic floral with wreath etched design which is timeless in its elegance. We have been told by some very knowledgeable collectors that they most likely date back in time to the 1940's. They are in lovely vintage condition. With the slight exception of some Extremely Minor 'rough' areas on the feet of the smaller bowl from contact with a table or shelf, their condition is deemed to be very good. We have not detected any chips, cracks or repairs.
Just give these very lovely bowls a gentle cleaning and they will soon be ready to once again be proudly displayed and enjoyed. This new acquisition is sure to become a prize posession for your lovely environment and is sure to bring you very much pleasure as well as countless compliments.
