We have here another wonderful find in this beautiful Teal Blue Mock Turtle Neck Vintage Sweater. Its teal Blue color is reminiscent of the ocean on a Tropical Island.
It Most likely dates somewhere back in time to the period of the 1950's to the 1960's when these exquisitely made and decorated sweaters were all the rage. It is reminiscent of something that Audrey Hepburn or Perhaps Elizabeth taylor may have worn.
Although there is no indication of size on any label, we believe this sweater to be a Size Small. The Label tells us that this sweater is a Cashmette by Colony Casuals of California. There is no label showing fiber content, but we believe that it is most likely a blend of lambs wool, angora and rabbit.
The Measurements are as follows:
18 1/2 inches across back at Under arms
20 inches at center of back down to bottom edge
19 inches from under arm edge across to opposite under arm edge
21 1/4 inches from front neck edge down to bottom edge
13 1/2 inches from under arm down to sleeve edge
28 inches across entire bottom from one side around to the other.
Front of sweater features a beautifully sprinkled design of 3 small white pearls punctuated at their bottom with a pretty little diamond-shaped bead. Sparkly little Rhinestones are interspersed between. Five pretty pearlized blue buttons fasten with loops at center front at neck edge.
This beautiful little Sweater comes from a very clean smoke-free home and is in lovely Vintage condition. Just give it perhaps a cleaning to refresh and be ready to wear with pleasure and pride.
