This is a delightful Honoré Daumier litho with the caption "Ah Doctor - I Think That I am A Consumptive".
Honoré Daumier (1808 – 1879), was a French printmaker, caricaturist, painter, and sculptor, whose many works offer commentary on social and political life in France in the 19th century. A prolific draftsman who produced over 4000 lithographs, he was perhaps best known for his caricatures of political figures and satires on the behavior of his countrymen.
This litho is framed and measures 20 inches high by 16 inches wide. The actual image area is 12 inches high by 9 inches wide and is surrounded by a Black mat border over a Tan background.
The frame has a few small dents to the wood, but is in very good condition overall, and ready to be hung on the wall. The litho is in very good condition.
This is a wonderful Honoré Daumier print that will delight the viewer. It would be a wonderful addition to any collection!
