We have here another wonderful find in this Important Signed Sculpture which was Made in Mexico.
It stands about 19 inches tall, is approximately 14 inches wide and has an approximate depth of about 7 inches. Its weight is about 12 3/4 pounds.
D'Argenta was established in Mexico in 1980 and has produced many lovely objets d'art and numerous decorative pieces. This Handsome Sculpture, depicting a 1920's Fan Dancer - has been signed by the Artist at the lower portion of her flowing silver skirt at the back view. "Jolly 109/500".

This Sculpture which is made of Metal is Limited Edition #109 of 500 and features a magnificently executed Silver Coated long flowing Halter Gown and 1920's Feathered Silver Head-dress and Ballet Slippers on the Dancer. We think that the Fans may be made of Bronze as we can see glimmers of it glowing through the upper edges. Her Strong Dancer's Body appears to be made of Copper with a kind of Clear Protective Finish. (D'Argenta's website should provide you with more details and specifics on their process).
The facial features on this Dancer are exquisitely executed as are her long slender fingers holding her finely detailed Feathered Fans. The Elongated Oval Base upon which she rests is of a Shiny Black Man-Made Material featuring a nicely detailed side edge.
This entire piece is completely captivating and should be a fantastic addition to your collection which can only continue increasing in value as more and more time goes by bringing you much pleasure and a constant flow of admiring compliments.
