We have here another wonderful find in this group of Two Vernonware 9 1/2 inch California Pottery Oval Vegetable Bowls.
One of the Native California bowls is in a nice sunny yellow while the other has been given a soft aqua color. The twisted rope edge feature is the only adornment. The quality of the pottery, nice classic shape and beautiful colors make these earthy bowls true stand-outs! They appear to date back to the period of the 1940's.
The California U.S.A. mark is proudly shown on both their undersides.
Considering their age, they are in quite good condition. We have not detected any chips, cracks or repairs and only minor age-related surface/utensil wear and manufacturing imperfections.
These wonderful pottery bowls are quite a treasure and should be a fantastic addition to your collection. They can only continue increasing in value as more and more time goes by bringing you much pleasure as well as many compliments.
