- Item Description
Here we have a charming little collection of artwork and poetry. This book, Field Flowers, was a monument to Eugene Field, a poet. The book was published in approximately 1896, and there is a gift inscription in the front of the book which reads "Christmas 1900." In this book is a variety of art, poetry, and even sheet music. Most of the artwork is accompanied by poetry and the authors and artists are all listed in the book.
The book is approximately ten and a half inches tall, is about 8 inches wide, and is about a quarter of an inch thick. It weighs about 11 ounces.
Theres some slight bumps to the edges of the cover, with some light soil on the cover. There is some foxing on the interior pages with darkening from age especially towards the edges. There are no markings or creases on the interior pages. The binding is cracked towards the front of the book but all pages remain securely attached. We rate the overall condition as good to very good. (See pictures)
The art and poems in this book are simply beautiful and this would make a very good hand-me-down in your family!
