- Item Description
For avid WWII collectors, we offer this genuine German belt buckle and belt. Made of painted metal, the buckle has long since been separated from its original leather belt, but is still ready to be fitted to another belt. Alternatively, the buckle can be used for display in a museum or collection as is.
This buckle shows an army eagle clutching a swastika which is placed in the the inner circle. Bears the logo Blut und Ehre, literal translation being 'Blood and Honor.'
The buckle itself measures 2 1/2 inches wide and is 1 7/8 inches high. The belt measures 32 inches long. Together, they weigh 9 ounces.
The buckle is in very good condition, as is the belt. The original finish is intact, with only a small number of scratches. It has no dings or dents and all the raised lettering and symbols can be seen easily, although there is some scratching and some of the finish has been worn away (see photo).
This belt buckle is a rare item and would make a great addition to a museum or WWII collection.
