We have here another wonderful find in this lovely group consisting of 7 Vintage Fostoria Water or Wine Goblets - Empire Etch 238.
Each one stands about 6 1/2 inches tall and has a diameter of about 3 1/4 inches measured at top rim. Together, the 7 pieces weigh about 2 pounds 5 ounces.
We have been told by very knowledgeable collectors that this pattern dates back in time to 1915. Its elegant simplicity is truly beautiful. We absolutely love the exquisitely etched garland and wreath pattern.
Three of these Goblets appear to be in perfect condtion. However, three of them do have, unfortunately, a bit of chipping at top rim and one may possibly have been ground at rim in one small area. The photograph which we have provided showing one of these condition areas is representative of the type of small edge chip heretofore described.
That being said, they still display exceedingly well and are a handsome example of very early 20th century excellence in etched glass.
Just give them a gentle cleaning and they will surely be a lovely addition to your Collection or for that of the collector in your life.
In addition, this is a Fantastic Investment in beautiful vintage Fostoria wine or water goblets which is certain to continue increasing in value as more and more time goes by!
