We have here another wonderful find in this lovely Group consisting of 14 Pieces of Vintage Assorted Linens as follows:
1 - White Curtain - Shantung-Type Fabric - possibly a cotton blend 60" Wide by 54" Long
1 - Pink Curtain - Nice quality bottom lace trim - 28" Wide by 24" Long.
We feel that possibly there was at some point in time - there might have been another one of these curtains. We of course are not sure. We did not receive it with this lot. Our suggestion if you wanted to use it with the nice wide matching valance, would be to use it in conjunction with perhaps some white curtains at its sides for a different, yet very lovely effect and still in keeping with the vintage tradition.
1 - Pink Valance which matches Pink Curtain above - 60" Wide by 12" Long
3 - White Valances - nice open-work pattern element.
These 3 Valances seem to be identical. Two of them are still pinned closed with original Fabric Content Label. They are made of 61% Avril Rayon and 39% Acetate exclusive of trim.
The Opened Valance measures - 54" Wide by 11" Long to bottom of Edge Trim
The Two 'Pinned together' White Valances measure about 76" Wide by about 11 " long. (We measured the width at unpinned area at bottom).
2 - White Runners - Nice Lace Trim around all Edges - 33" Wide by 12 1/2" Long - One of these is torn at one edge as shown in Photograph. The Other one is not torn but does have some minor age-related discolorations.
2 Pink Napkins - Seem to be a Shantung-type fabric - possibly a blend of fibers - 14 1/2" Wide by 17" Long
1 - Pink Placemat - Nice White Edge Trim - nearly 20" Wide by 15" Long - Nice fabric with a line design to its pattern similar to that of corduroy.
1 - Antimacassar - This is approximately a 16 3/4" Square measured at most extended edges at sides. This lovely piece is made of a Wonderful Fabric reminiscent of a Swiss Handkerchief. Its floral pattern is embroidered in shades of Pink while its openwork detail in center of Flower gives yet additional depth. It is in Excellent Vintage Condition. We see no discolorations nor tears.
2 - Tea or Hand Towels
Pale Pink Fringed Edge with Design in shades of Blue - 12 1/2" Wide by 18 Inches Long - has some faint yellowish discoloration - but not very obvious.
Solid White - 12 1/2" Wide by 19" Long - Nice embroidered Circular Design in White with just a touch of Openwork.
