- Item Description
We are pleased to present four (4) Victorian era Candlesticks for your consideration. There are two (2) sets of two, both circa 1860, and made from Brass.
The first set has round bases which are weighted. The set weighs 2 pounds 1 ounce with one Candlestick measuring 9-1/2 inches high, and the other 9-7/8 inches high. The shorter Candlestick has a bump to one side of the base plus a bump to the edge of the thin tray at the top which catches the wax overflow. Both have a heavy patina which we have left as-is, but they could be polished to restore their shiny appearance. The overall condition of the set is good to very good (see pictures).
The second set has square bases with angled corners. The set weighs 2 pounds 2 ounces, and each Candlestick is 9-7/8 inches high. Both have rods that run through the entire Candlestick that can be pushed up from the base to push the Candles out. Each has a patina which we have left as-is, with assorted dings and some bends at the base. We rate these two pieces as being in good to very good condition.
This is a fabulous collection of Victorian era Candlesticks. They would make fantastic Holiday Gifts, or be wonderful additions to any collection!
