We are pleased to present this Vivitar Lens Assembly for your consideration. There are several Lense pieces combined together into a single assembly. We are not certain what camera it is designed for, but will list the components starting from the end that mounts to the camera.
The first piece has shiny metal exposed where it mates with the camera. It has click stops from 3.8 to 22, and as it is adjusted, the Iris inside the lens changes from a small diameter opening to a larger opening. A small Black lever comes out of the end. When pushed, it causes the small Iris opening to open to a large circle. Labeling on this piece reads: PATENTS APPLIED FOR M/MD LENS MADE IN JAPAN.
The next piece is in the middle and has two adjustable rings. The adjustment closest to the camera reads CLOSE FOCUS and has numbers 70 85 105 150. The other adjustment has two scales, one in Feet (with numbers 5 to 40, then infinity), the other in Meters (with numbers 1.5 to 15).
Continuing on, we get to the end of the main Lens. The ring next to the Glass of the Lens has text which reads:
Vivitar 70-150mm 1:3.8 CLOSE FOCUSING AUTO ZOOM
No. 22927355 52mm
At this end, there is also a small Glass Lens that is possibly a filter. It has text on its side which reads:
Vivitar VMC SKYLIGHT 1A 52MM
The Lens does not come with Lense Caps, but does have a carrying case with a textured Black vinyl exterior and soft Red fabric interior, with a Drawstring end.
The Lense assembly is about 5 inches long and 2-1/4 inches in diameter (maximum). It weighs 1 pound 4 ounces. It is clean, with no scratches or damage to the Glass Lenses. We rate it as being in very good to excellent condition (see pictures above).
The Carrying Case has some Red stains or wear visible on the outside. The string for the drawstring shows medium wear. Overall condition of the Carrying Case is very good.
This is nice Vivitar Lense assembly in exceptional condition. It would make a wonderful Camera accessory, or fabulous Holiday Gift!
