We have here another wonderful find in this charming group of Antique Johnson Bros Old English Dinnerware.
The pattern features a charming thatched cottage in a delightful English Garden of Foxglove and Hollyhocks. Edges have been given a kind of piecrust detail banded in gold. We do not know their exact age, but we do believe they are quite old.
The pieces are as follows:
2 - 10" Dinners
6 - 9" Luncheons
3 - 7 3/4" Salads
6 - 6 1/4" Bread & Butter
4 - Very nice Large and Deep Soups. 1 1/2" tall; 10" Diameter
1 - Oval Platter 12 1/4" by 9 3/4"
With the exception of a few small chips at the undersides of some of the pieces as well as utensil marks, they are in lovely aged condition with the gold banding being quite intact.
Just give them a gentle cleaning - Display - Use - and Enjoy!
