- Item Description
We have here another wonderful find in this Exquisite Kutani 3-Part Japanese Tea Service.
We understand that Kutani is the name for a remote village in the Northern part of Japan which is noted for its gorgeous hand-painted pottery.
These items feature a magnificent hand painted floral design set upon a vibrant russet background
This group consists of the following 3 items:
Covered Sugar - it stands about 4 1/2 inches tall and has a top edge diameter of about 2 1/2"
Creamer - It stands about 3 3/4 inches tall and has a top edge opening of about 2 1/2 inches - measured to edge of spout.
Tea Pot - We are including the lovely as a Free Bonus - at no charge
Its total height measured to the top of knob on cover is about 5 1/2 inches. It has a top edge diameter of about 2 5/8 inches.
It is being included at No Charge as it does have several condition issues such as a small chip at the under side of the spout, a hairline at the side of the pot as well as one larger one at underside which does go through to the inside.
We have not detected any chips, cracks or repairs on either the creamer or the covered sugar. They appear to be in beautiful antique condition.
Just give them a gentle cleaning - and - Enjoy!
This wonderful group of fine antique Japanese pottery is quite a find and should be a fantastic addition to your collection. It can only continue increasing in value as more and more time goes by bringing youa good deal of pleasure and many admiring compliments.
