Item Description

We are pleased to present this antique Silver Basket for your consideration. It was made by the Dutch maker Van Kempen & Son, and it dates to 1915. The Basket is 12 sided and features a wonderful Art Nouveau geometric design with pierced sides.

The Basket measures 1-9/16 inches high with a 4-5/8 inch diameter at the rim. The base is 2-1/4 inches in diameter. The Basket weighs 2.5 ounces (70 grams). It has hallmarks on the underside of its base with a 1915 date code.

Small areas of silver tarnish are found on the Basket, but it is in excellent overall condition, with no damage or repairs (see pictures).

This is a fantastic Van Kempen Art Nouveau Silver Basket. It would make a wonderful addition to your collection!
