- Item Description
Featured is a set of three Antique early Earthenware Roman Crucibles. These roman crucibles may have been used to store and pour oil. Each has a rounded foot with a line impressed trim. The rim of each crucible has a small pinched spout for easy poring. These were unearthed during the 80's in Dorset England and are thought to have been from the 4th century.
As seen in pictures, one crucible has a deeply chipped rim with two cracks, another has a smaller chip to its rim and some nicks to its foot, the last only has minor nicks to its foot and a slight crack. Overall in nice condition considering their age. These would look wonderful out on display, perfect for those who collect Roman Antiquities. Feel free to e-mail us if you have any questions. Enjoy.
