Up for your consideration is this antique Tilt Top Table from the Georgian era. This original table is made of Walnut and features Dowel construction, original Hardware, and a Candlestick Pedestal base. The top has never been refinished and has an authentic Patina that includes old ink stains. We are truly pleased to be able to offer this rare piece.
The Table is 28 inches high with a round top that is 35-1/2 inches in diameter. The Tilt mechanism is working fine and latches when the surface is moved to the horizontal position. The Latch on the underside is moved to unhook the Catch, which permits the Table surface to be tilted to the vertical position.
The Table shows wear typical for its age with a rich patina and many surface impressions and marks. There is a small gap on the top surface between the 2 center planks which can be seen in the last picture (above). The tilt mechanism is fully functional, and the overall condition is very good.
This is an exceptional Georgian era Tilt Table. It would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
