- Item Description
We have here another wonderful find in this Exquisite Consolidated Glass Vase. This vase was part of the "Con-Cora" Line
Our Elegant Vase stands at an Impressive 14 5/8 inches tall, has a Diameter at its top edge of about 6 inches and a Diameter at its base of about 5 1/2 inches. Its weight is nearly 4 1/2 Pounds.
What a wonderful complement to a Bouquet of Flowers or simply lovely Greenery this makes! We love the concept of one very important sprig of beautifully hand painted Green leaves kind of twirling down the length of the vase. It is very pleasing to touch the artistically executed slim brown branch and the little curly leaf tendrils which have been delicately highlighted by the Artist.
The Artist's initials appear to read: "MD." We have been told that this stands for Matilda Davidson, an artist at Consolidated. We have also been told that this very piece was pictured in the 1957 Consolidated Glass Catalog.
The Gold edging on the exterior just below top rim gives nice definition and balance while the three raised glass bands slightly below center make for a comfortable and convenient area for carrying. The fact that the back of the vase has just one sprig of these beautiful green leaves gives another wonderful canvas for the viewer to admire without competing from its magnificent front view.
This Tall Glass Vase and its gold top edging are in Lovely Vintage Condition. We have not found any chips, cracks or repairs. Just give it a gentle cleaning and it will soon be ready to become another Fantastic addition for your collection or for that of the collector in your life. It will surely bring you very much pleasure and numerous compliments.
In addition, this is a Fantastic Investment in beauty as well as in Fine artistic craftsmanship and is sure to continue increasing in value as more and more time elapses!
