For your consideration here, we have a set of four Tiffany & Co. Sterling Silver dinner or luncheon forks in the rare Persian pattern.
Each handle is intricately decorated with Art Noveau repoussse garlands and flowers on each side, culminating in a tiny knob. The theme is reminiscent of the late Victorian era when there was a fascination with all things exotic including Asia and Africa. The back of the fork also has similar, wonderful detail, including the infamous mark:
TIFFANY & CO.. STERLING Pat 1872
There is a monogram on each fork, R. We have been told that these may have been owned by the Rockefeller family at one time. These are antique and were given to our customer as a wedding present many years ago.
Each fork measures 7-1/8 inches in length and weighs in at 2.1 ounces. The condition on these forks is very good. Very minor use and bright and shiny!
These rare and unusually beautiful pieces are a fabulous investment now and in the future.
