We have here another wonderful find in this very lovely Cut Glass Covered Cheese Plate.
It stands about 8 inches tall, has a Diameter of about 11 inches measured at the underside of the bottom plate and weighs approximately 8 1/2 pounds.
We have been unable to determine the Maker or Pattern name but have been told by a very knowledgeable collector that this beautiful Cut Glass Covered Cheese is most likely either Turkish or Bohemian in origin. We love its Handsome Design, its multi-faceted handle knob and the wonderful feel of the weight of this heavy piece. It gives off a lovely clear ring sound when the cover touches the base.
It appears to be in lovely vintage condition. We have not found any chips, cracks or repairs.
What a fantastic find this is!
Just give it a gentle cleaning and it will soon be ready to be that very special new addition to your lovely Glass Collection or for that of the collector in your life.
In addition, this is a Fantastic Investment in an Exquisite Cut Glass piece which is certain to continue increasing in value as more and more time goes by!
