We have here two simply beautiful examples of Collectible purple or Amethyst Glass.
One of these pieces is a large brandy snifter. it stands about 12 1/2 Inches Tall and has a Circumference of about 23 1/2 Inches measured at approximately the widest point. The diameter at the top is about 4 Inches.
It appears to have been made in Mexico and is in lovely condition. We see no chips, cracks or repairs. It has a nice 'ring' to it as well as a lovely warm wine tone to its color.
The Other item here is an Exquisite blown Glass very Tall Goblet or Super-size Wine Glass.
The Cup portion has an elegant swirl design while its applied stem and base are unadorned. This allows for the eye to absorb all of the beauty and detail of the swirled pattern of the cup. The fact that the viewer can see where the stem was applied to the base makes it even more special than if it were simply a production line factory piece.
It is about 13 1/4 Inches Tall and has a diameter across the top rim of about 5 3/4 Inches.
This piece too has no chips, cracks or repairs that we have been able to see. Just give them a gentle cleaning and they will be ready to catch the light coming through your window or from your lit chandelier.
