We have here another wonderful find in this charming group of 5 Vintage Dolls as follows:
Loveable Louise Doll by Deluxe
This Teenage Doll is about 24 Inches Tall and appears to have been made of Hard Plastic. Her Face with Open and Close Sleeping Eyes is quite 'Squeeze-able' and her Hair is done in a short bob. She has a Teenage Body and her feet are posed as though she must originally have had worn high heels. We see no Maker Identification on her other than what appears to be the number 183 at back of her Neck, but have been advised that she is indeed "Loveable Louise" by Deluxe. The creme colored Satin Dress she is wearing has a lovely Apricot-tone Bow in front and appears as though it may very well be her original dress.
Doll with Long Yellow Braids
She is about 16 Inches tall and has a face that is made of a kind of squeezable plastic, perhaps - that is stitched onto her fabric scalp. Her body is fabric which has been filled with some extremely firm stuffing material. It appears that there may have been several hand stitched repairs done to her body. Her red Dress with Polka Dot Collar fits her quite well and may possibly be original to the doll. We really do not know. We have not found any maker identification on it.
Stuffed Rabbit
It is about 20 inches Tall and is completely soft and squeeze-able. The body is made of a creamy white cotton fabric as are her charming long floppy ears. There are a couple of places where some small portions of seams have opened and one arm has been hand-stitched back into place while the other arm is only 'hanging on by a couple of threads and could use some re-stitching. Her Clothes which include an Aqua Print Dress, matching Apron and Pantaloons have been made of a nice soft cotton. We have not found any maker identification on it.
Horsman Doll - 1969
She is about 10 inches Tall, has long blonde rooted hair and an exceptionally sweet little face. Her eyes do Not open and close. Her entire body is made of a hard plastic and her arms can move up and down while her legs can be moved to a sitting position. Her Red and White Gingham Dress with Black Rick Rack Trim is delightfully appropriate. Other than the fact that her hair is a little unkempt, she is in very nice vintage condition.
Gi-Go Toys Fty, Ltd. - Soft Body Doll with two Pony tails - Reddish Brown Hair
She is about 12 inches tall and has been made in a fixed sitting position. We see 'China' incised into the back of her neck. The Label on side gives us the Manufacturer name. Her little red polka dot/print dress is delightful.
These Dolls are quite the treasure and should be a fantastic addition to your collection. They can only continue increasing in value as more and more time goes by bringing you many smiles and a great deal of pleasure.
