We have here a wonderful Enamel on Copper Plate in a lovely Rich warm Wood Frame. The Signature which is the Letter 'A' can be found on the Face to the right of the nose and beneath the Right Eye.
The Gorgeous Colors in the Face of this Fantastic Mid Century work of art, are given even Greater Depth by the Copper Undertones. As shown in the photos, we have rich and vibrant tones of greens, blues, golds Burgundy and other blended tones.
This Fantastic Plate is 8 Inches in Diameter while the Wood Frame is about 15 Inches Square. The Plate is set into a lovely hemp-type material giving wonderful contrast to the Shine and Brilliance of this Enamel on Copper Plate.
The Backing tells that the Title is 'Dawn' and that the Number is #18. The Gallery Label - see photo - tells us that this came from Earl's Gallery on Westwood Boulevard in Los Angeles, California.
The hanging wire seems quite intact. The paper backing does show age wear as shown in photo but the Plate itself and its frame are really ready for hanging as is. You may just want to give it a very gentle cleaning and you'll be ready to display it beautifully!
