We are pleased to present this vintage Studio Vase for your consideration. It is a vintage piece, signed, and features a complex abstract swirl pattern with a primary color of loden green and including other shades of green, brown, purple, and black. The surface has a bit of texture to it while the glaze has an iridescent quality, especially in the darker areas, that give the Vase a shimmering quality that varies in changing light. Truly a spectacular piece!
The Vase is large, standing 15-3/4 inches high. It is about 7-1/2 inches in diameter at the widest point, with a base that is 5 inches in diameter. The neck is 2-1/4 inches in diameter while the rim is 3-1/2 inches in diameter. The underside of the base has an incised signature and date (shown in our last picture). It appears to read PAUL GRYNICK, but we are not positive about the last name.
The glazing at the rim is irregular but as manufactured. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs, and the Vase is in excellent overall condition (see pictures).
This is a beautiful Studio Vase with a fantastic abstract design.
