Framed Erte Alphabet "Letter L" on Silk - Signed 
We
are offering this original Erte Alphabet, Letter L on silk. It
is a wonderful piece featuring an exotic woman, dressed in leopard
print, with a reclining leopard at her feet. They both wear a
collar that binds them together. Erte's graphic edition of his
famous Alphabet series is one of his best known and sought after
works. Erte was fascinated with the alphabet from the time he
learned to read. This piece is matted in brown and black, and
framed in a gold trimmed, black frame. Unfortunately, the frame
has a dent in it as shown above.
This
is a beautiful Arts & Crafts style armoire which probably dates
to the late 19th or early part of the 20th century. It is made
of silky oak, so the grain is very beautiful. The exterior features
two beautifully carved appliques and the handsome Arts & Crafts
design top. The interior of the wardrobe was originally only hooks,
but it has been modified slightly for modern use. The shelf at
the bottom is an addition as well as two rods for hanging that
run parallel with the depth of the wardrobe. There are two hooks
inside for hanging. The original beveled glass shows some foxing
as can be seen in the photos. This age, however, does not hamper
one's ability to see themselves. It is nice that it is original.
This armoire is of a good solid construction, in good condition.
This lovely piece of furniture could easily be modified to act
as a linen closet or pantry. 
This
beautiful Arts & Crafts Mission piece is truly an eye catcher!
The solid oak design is in the true Arts & Crafts style. The lines
are very smooth. It has a swivel mirror, and top rack with small
drawer that easily detatches from the base chest of drawers. The
hardware is wonderful! The hanging pull handles with leaf backs
fits this piece perfect. The small drawer in the top portion has
a wonderful little pull. There is one drawer on the lower half
that has the little leafe back on the handle missing. The mirror
is original, beveled and shows a bit of it's age. The top edge
of the mirror is darkening some, but only along the edge and it
doesn't take away from the beauty of this piece at all. If anything,
it adds to it. 
Made
from Oak. Quarter sawn for the tiger stripe effect. Hand carved
drawer and door front. Flowers or fruit of your choice! Round
aluminum handles. All wood construction, 1" thick oak drawer fronts
and frames. Hole cut in back for electrical plug I would assume.
Very useful piece. More room in your Cupboard than if it was all
drawers. In great used condition. .
