Antique Oak Winged Mirror Dressing Table c.1900 This is going to be tough to describe. It's really an amazing old Dressing table. It's got 3 mirrors for easy viewing of any angle (great for fixing your hair) and the center mirror swivels to provide even more versatility. All three mirrors are the original, beveled and in nice shape for the age. Each of the 3 mirrors can be easily removed, along with the entire back of this Dressing Table, for easy transportation. A very nice feature indeed. The iron hardware on the 3 drawers and 2 cabinet doors is exceptional. The doors open in (see picture) rather than out, so they don't get in the way of the outer butterfly mirrors. Nice thinking on the craftsman's part! The fine craftsmanship doesn't stop there. The relief carving work above the center mirror is simply beautiful. The dovetail joints holding the drawers together are bigger than most you'd see, which helped in aging this piece. The legs are tapered to narrow feet. Strong, old world construction and attention to detail really make this piece something to be proud of. The balustrade supports on either side, under each cabinet, have a wonderful turned design. The center mirror, in a shield shape, measures a large 23" High, and 15.5" wide. While the wing mirrors measure 21.5" High and 7 1/2" wide. Placing some great old matte green pottery, maybe some Teco or Grueby, or maybe some nice plants, on the little shelf area on top of the two cupboard boxes is very tempting! The measurement of the top piece, without the mirror (for shipping calculations) is as follows: 9 1/2" deep 42 1/4" wide 26 3/4 " high The lower portion of the table measures: 42 1/4" wide 29 1/4" high 18" deep Each of the wing mirrors, the center mirror, and the upper portion of this desk, are easily taken apart for safe, easy shipping. See all of our eBay auctions! Antique Oak Arts & Crafts Dressing Table This beautiful Arts & Crafts Mission piece is truly an eye catcher! The solid oak design is in the true Arts & Crafts style. The lines are very smooth. It has a swivel mirror, and top rack with small drawer that easily detatches from the base chest of drawers. The hardware is wonderful! The hanging pull handles with leaf backs fits this piece perfect. The small drawer in the top portion has a wonderful little pull. There is one drawer on the lower half that has the little leafe back on the handle missing. The mirror is original, beveled and shows a bit of it's age. The top edge of the mirror is darkening some, but only along the edge and it doesn't take away from the beauty of this piece at all. If anything, it adds to it.
