Pair of Hand Painted Japanese Lusterware Porcelain Wall Pockets

This is a
pair of beautiful Hand Painted Wall Lusterware wall pockets from
Japan. Each depicts a bird flying near a fruit tree againist a
blue background. The bottom of each of the pieces is a beige band
and the fruit tree crosses into that band. The overall appearance
of the glaze is very striking with the surface having a lusterware
finish. The bird is decorated with thick orange, white and blue
enamel giving it a raised feel. Both pieces are in very good condition
with no chips, cracks or crazing. A wonderful pair for your wall
pocket collection! Buy

Arts
& Crafts Hallstand / Halltree / Coat Rack

We believe
that this lovely hallstand is from circa 1910. It is from England
and is made of either mahogany or walnut (I can't make up my mind!)
It is all solid wood with cast iron hooks. It has some wonderful,
nice, old tiles that show crazing. It still retains its original
beveled mirror. There is some silvering edge wear. There is a
small shelf on the front (below the mirror) that would be great
for your keys. There is also space for walking sticks or umbrellas.
There are no drip trays. There are also turned legs at the front.
Overall a nice looking piece in a great size and condition. I
would estimate the weight at 25#. Buy

Antique
French Enamel Graniteware Fountain

This is a
beautiful piece that would make a lovely water feature in your
garden. The reservoir and basin have been mounted on a wooden
backing. You can easily remove these two items and mount them
elsewhere if you wish. The water reservoir is 10" wide x 4" deep
x 14" high. Featured on the body is a beautiful handpainted hummingbird
on an orchid branch in pinks and greens. There is a lid on the
reservoir that you may remove on which is painted another flower
in pink. There is also a small spigot or spout from which the
water may flow. Below the reservoir is a basin, also handpainted
in the same pink orchids. This basin measures 15" wide x 11" deep
x 9" high. This set dates to the late 19th century. It is a stunning
and very unusual set. It would be an outstanding garden addition.
Spring is just around the corner! Another like this would be very
difficult to find. Buy
it on eBay!
