Set of 7 Hutschenreuther Dinner Plates Bleeding Heart

This auction is for a beautiful set of seven dinner plates from Hutschenreuther, Selb, Germany. They have a beautiful bright white color with a gorgeous, hand painted floral design. These flowers look like bleeding hearts. The decoration on these pieces are reminiscent of Limoges with the pale pink and green flowers. There is a gold band around the scalloped edge of each plate. The gold is very good. The plates show very little, if any use. There are virtually no knife marks. The handpainted flowers are enhanced by a variety of art noveau designs in a beautiful relief. The back mark reads: "HR (in a circle) Germany". This same maker's mark is also embossed on the underside of several plates. The condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or crazing. However, one plate has a small chip on the inside of the foot (about 1/4"), and there are a few bits of crazing from the hit. Check out our other auctions here for some other pieces in this pattern. Schumann Pink Rose with Gold Cup, Saucer & Desert Plate - Trio

This is an elegant trio. Very reminiscent of the Victorian era. Made by Schumann, Bavaria, this set features a pink floral bouquet with gold scrolls and scallops. The inside of the cup features the rose bouquets and gold scrolls. The outside features the rose bouquets, but the scrollwork is raised rather than applied with gold. The handle, as you can see is gold. There is very little, if any, wear to the gold. I believe that this trio was for admiring, rather than using. The maker's mark is on the underside of each piece, with the number "74" stamped in gold. It may be the pattern number, however that exact pattern number is missing in Replacements, so I'm not sure.
